Season’s Greetings and Happy New Year!
Before we know it, the New Year will roll around again, with a whole world of new areas to explore in !afterclass!
We’ll start off in January with a class on “Seasonal Rhythms.” Some of us will be heading into winter, some into summer. Whatever our hemisphere, the changing seasons lend us the chance to increase our awareness of the world around us. And when we can capture a special seasonal moment in a photograph, we have a record of an encounter or an experience that will last a lifetime.
Exploring seasons will also provide us with the chance to review some of the concepts we learned in 2006. Take a look below at the listing of threads, and you’ll see that the class has been planned to take advantage of tips and techniques that our master teachers provided over the past seven months. And some of those master teachers will be back again to lead various threads, so we hope to have some good continuity here.
So in any quiet moments you can find during this busy holiday season, think about the photographs you have that best show seasonal change. All settings and subjects are welcome if they show a seasonal theme, whether they be rural, urban, landscape, portraits, etc. Though we’ll try not to overlap the content of the excellent “Weather” class, if you want to re-post any of your “weather” photos to support one of the concepts in the threads listed below, that would be fine. This listing is a preliminary look at the areas we will cover - subject to change, as always!
